Cherry Hill Farms

Cherry Hill Farms is a high-density small farm on 2/3 acre in Fair Oaks, CA. We primarily sell vegetable/herb starts, berries and tomatoes at local farmers markets.

Everything we produce is grown organically in high-density. Our priority is to grow everything with the absolute minumum use of organic fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides -- partly to keep our overhead low, and partly because even organic treatments come with side effects (possible harm to beneficial insects or soil microbes, for example). We achieve this by enriching the soil with compost and animal manures and/or cover-cropping, using soaker lines to limit irrigation to the narrow root zone of our commercial crops, trellising everything to avoid contact with soil-born fungi, and using weed-blocking fabrics to suppress weeds and the harmful insects they harbor. BeMoneySmartUSA's Wednesday market in downtown Fair Oaks from 3:00 - 7:00.
